Reports to: Development Director
Status: Full time, exempt
Schedule: 40 hours per week; primarily working at the Hollywood Theatre office during regular business hours (M-F, 9:00am-5:00pm), but occasional weekend and evening work will be required.

The Membership & Grants Manager is responsible for managing the robust membership program and grants portfolio of the nonprofit historic Hollywood Theatre in Portland, Ore. Reporting to the Development Director, the Membership & Grants Manager will manage membership fulfillment, stewardship and communications; maintain and grow the current grants portfolio; and assist the Development Director with other organizational development functions as assigned. The ideal candidate for this role will approach donor stewardship and fundraising with positivity, professionalism, accuracy, confidentiality and enthusiasm.

The Hollywood Theatre Membership & Grant Manager’s work includes, but is not limited to, the following areas of focus:
Routinely interact with members and donors via phone and email
Ensure delivery of all membership benefits across multiple channels
Generate, and oversee continuity of, membership communications and collateral
Respond to member inquiries/issues related to ticketing, online accounts, benefits, etc.
Ensure timely recognition of gifts via mail and phone
Assist with year-end and other fundraising campaigns
Assist with coordination of member events, including tours, invitation-only screenings, etc.
Manage current grant portfolio, to include grant writing and reporting
Conduct member/donor and grant funder research
Process and fulfill memberships
Generate gift and prospect reports to assist with development strategy
Assist with routine database cleanup
Minimum 2 years’ work in development/fundraising in a nonprofit environment
Minimum 2 years’ experience in grant writing
Excellent project management skills, with strong attention to detail
Excellent written communications skills, including content writing and editing
Membership/donor stewardship experience preferred
Proficiency with customer relationship management systems (especially DonorPerfect)
Proficiency with email marketing solutions (especially Emma)
Proficiency with Google Drive applications and Microsoft Office software
Flexible and able to adjust to evolving job demands
Strong commitment to the mission of the Hollywood Theatre and to the power of film as a profoundly enriching art form
